Abstract(s)
estratégias e atividades de trabalho cooperativo promotoras da participação;
neste estudo as competências respeito e responsabilidade, cooperação e empatia.
This report was prepared within the framework of the Curricular Unit (UC) of Supervised Teaching Practice II (PES II), integrated in the Master's degree in Teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education (CEB) and Portuguese (PT) and History and Geography of Portugal (HGP) in the 2nd CEB, held in two 5th grade classes. From the recognition of the weaknesses and potentialities of students from both classes, an investigative study was carried out focusing on the development of Citizenship and Participation, through the contributions of cooperative work in the History and Geography classes. Thus, the research proposal has the following problematic: Citizenship and Participation - Cooperative work and the development of Portuguese History and Geography Skills (1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education). The answer to this problem is organized around three objectives: Identify strategies and cooperative work activities that promote participation; Understand the contribution of cooperative work and student participation to the development of Historical-Geographic skills; Explain the contribution of cooperative work and student participation to the development of citizenship skills. Methodologically, we resorted to the planning of activities in the classroom which involved students in the development of cooperative work in order to reflect on the results of involvement in these participatory learning processes in the development of historicalgeographic and citizenship skills. The research carried out allows us to conclude that the involvement of students in activities that involve cooperative work facilitates the development of citizenship skills, based on a culture for democracy, highlighting in this study the competences of respect and responsibility, cooperation and empathy. From the path lived and the results obtained, we end this study with a set of guidelines for a pedagogical practice in History and Geography committed to the formation of competent citizens to practice a culture for democracy.
