Esta dissertação aborda a tecnologia de Realidade Aumentada no setor educacional.
Pretende contribuir para uma melhor perceção das potencialidades desta tecnologia perante
aplicações móveis utilizadas como ferramentas pedagógicas. Para esse efeito, optou-se por
analisar as características da Realidade Aumentada e a aplicação EV SMART BOOK, do
Grupo Porto Editora, com o intuito de entender se esta tecnologia pode proporcionar uma
melhoria útil e funcional à EV SMART BOOK.
Esta investigação foi desenvolvida segundo uma abordagem metodológica
qualitativa, recorrendo a entrevistas semiestruturadas a professores do 3º ciclo e a
questionários aos alunos dos professores entrevistados.
Este estudo contribui para a motivação da integração dos dispositivos móveis no
contexto de sala de aula e na adoção de práticas educativas lúdicas.
Os resultados sugerem que, a Realidade Aumentada possui as características que os
professores procuram numa aplicação como a EV SMART BOOK.
ABSTRACT: This dissertation discusses the role/part of Augmented Reality technology in education. It aims to contribute to a better perception of Augmented Reality potential as teaching/educational tools through mobile applications. For this purpose, it was decided to analyze the characteristics of Augmented Reality and the EV SMART BOOK application of Grupo Porto Editora, in order to understand whether this technology can provide a useful and functional improvement to the EV SMART BOOK. This investigation was developed according to a qualitative methodological approach, using semi-structured interviews with teachers of the third cycle and questionnaires to students of the interviewed teachers. This study contributes to motivate the integration of mobile devices in the classroom and the adoption of playful educational practices. The results suggest that Augmented Reality has the characteristics that teachers search for in an application such as EV SMART BOOK.
