L.; Vieira De Brito Almeida, Maria Da GraçaThis paper presents the implementation of a didactic simulator for industrial automation supported by a Human-Machine Interface system. As a result of this work, a solution based on a system of six reservoirs was developed, together with a supervision system that allows the simulator to be controlled and monitored through a Raspberry Pi with a touch screen display and an android application. The aim of this work is to develop a system that can be used by other undergraduate and master’s students of the electrical engineering course at ISEL.
- Integration of remote interfaces for industrial automation applicationsPublication . Santiago, Daniel; Cordeiro, Armando; Vieira De Brito Almeida, Maria Da GraçaThis paper presents a remote interface solution for industrial automation applications based on the integration of automation Fieldbuses with different technologies. This solution is obtained by the connection of an Industrial Ethernet Fieldbus with a classic Fieldbus, through a strategy of software and hardware compatibilization. The compatibility of the software is achieved through the AXC 1050 PROFINET controller, communicating using the PROFINET and Modbus TCP/IP protocols and the programming of the Modbus RTU protocol, in the Siemens S7-215-2 PLC, in freeport mode, creating a bridge between both devices and their inputs/outputs variables. The development of this solution allows access to all existing equipment through a commercial Ethernet Fieldbus and the control of the S7-215-2 from other equipment of the Fieldbus, assigning new features to this controller that originally did not have this capability.
