Abstract(s)
A presente investigação pretende apresentar as atividades desenvolvidas durante
um estágio realizado na agência Lusa, A Lusa - Agência de Notícias de Portugal, S.A, e
uma análise às peças publicadas nas editorias Sociedade e Política entre 20 de abril e 31
de maio de 2018, no âmbito do debate que antecedeu a votação na Assembleia da
República, a 29 de maio, da despenalização da eutanásia. Além desta análise às peças
publicadas pela agência Lusa são apresentadas também as conclusões de uma análise
realizada às peças publicadas em três meios (Observador, Público e Jornal i), no mesmo
período e sob a mesma temática da despenalização da eutanásia.
Procuramos apresentar também uma contextualização teórica em torno das
concetualizações de jornalismo especializado, jornalismo especializado em saúde e
especialização.
O relatório de estágio não pretende ser apenas mera descrição das atividades
realizadas durante o estágio, mas também uma reflexão crítica sobre as peças publicadas
pela agência Lusa e a respetiva utilização nos meios. Esta reflexão é acompanhada de um
exercício investigativo que procura apresentar a realidade das agências de notícias e a
atualidade da agência Lusa.
ABSTRACT: The following research depicts the activities performed during an internship at Lusa The Portuguese News Agency, as well as an analysis of the news articles published by Society and Politics sections between April 20th and May 31st during the debate for the legalization of euthanasia which was voted at the Portuguese Parliament in May 29th. Besides the analysis to Lusa’s news articles, the following research also contains conclusions of one analysis to news articles in three different media (Observador, Público e Jornal i), during the same period and under the same theme. We aim to present a theoretical context about the concepts of specialized journalism, health journalism and specialization. This internship report doesn’t intend to be a mere description of the activities performed during the internship but also a critical analysis on the news articles published by Lusa and its use in Portuguese media. This reflection is supported by an exploratory exercise to present the news agencies reality and Lusa’s nowadays.
