Abstract(s)
Com o intuito de compreender, sensibilizar, iniciar o debate, incentivar mais investigações científicas e contribuir com novos conhecimentos sobre a solidão gay, neste projeto pretendo compartilhar as minhas experiências como um jovem gay que vive em Lisboa. Eu escolhi o documentário "Sobras do Almário" como o meio audiovisual para expressar minha experiência através da metodologia da autoetnografia, que visa construir uma narrativa baseada no "eu" pessoal e subjetivo, mas em contexto social para transmitir uma voz política de "nós" que se identificam com a solidão gay.
Como documentário reflexivo e performativo, permiti-me ser o pesquisador e o pesquisado, enquanto observando criticamente o processo de filmagem, pondo em análise os limites éticos do que pode ser ou não ser descrito ao lidar com o tipo de envolvimento pessoal, no qual o autor é a principal fonte do material.
ABSTRACT: In order to understand, sensitize, start a discussion, encourage for more scientific investigations and contribute with new inside knowledge about gay loneliness, in this project I purpose to share my experiences as a young gay living in Lisbon. I have chosen the documentary "Sobras do Almário" as an audiovisual mean to express my experience through the auto-ethnography methodology, which aims to build a narrative based on the personal and subjective “self”, but socially contextualized to convey a political voice of “we” who identify themselves with gay loneliness. As a reflexive and performative documentary, I allowed me to be the researcher and the researched, while observing critically the process of filmmaking, and putting to analysis the ethical boundaries of what can be or cannot be described when dealing with this kind of personal involvement, in which the author is the main source of the material.
