Abstract(s)
O futuro depende da utilização mais eficiente dos recursos ambientais nas quais se incluem a
procura de novas soluções energéticas e com uma visão ainda mais abrangente de todo o ciclo
de vida dos novos componentes e resíduos. Importa assim incluir nas novassoluções energéticas
a avaliação do seu impacte ambiental.
A presente dissertação enquadra-se no âmbito dos impactes ambientais dos novos projetos de
eficiência energética, nomeadamente o consumo de novos materiais e também os resíduos
produzidos pelo abate de material a substituir.
Como caso de estudo será considerado um projeto que visou a implementação de um sistema
fotovoltaico e iluminação Retrofit LED num edifício público de saúde. Será realizado o estudo
energético e financeiro, assim como a avaliação da significância dos impactes ambientais ainda
na fase de construção relativa à mudança efetuada. Serão considerados no plano ambiental a
sustentabilidade dos novos materiais e também os custos ambientais dos resíduos produzidos.
Estes são aspetos que habitualmente não são considerados nos estudos de eficiência energética
e que se pretendem avaliar com o presente trabalho. O estudo de caso real permitirá uma
abordagem concreta do problema.
Our future depends on the efficiency on the use of natural resources in which we must include the search for new energy solutions and an overall vision on the life cycle of electric components and their waste management. Therefore, it is important to consider environmental impact assessment on new energy solutions. This dissertation is developed within the scope of the environmental impacts of new energy efficiency projects, specially focussing on the material consumption and waste management created by equipment disassembly. The case study is the project development for a photovoltaic system and LED Retrofit lighting on a public health institute building. It will be carried out a energetic and financial study, was well as a environmental impact assessment during the construction fase and about the changes carried out. On the environmental plan it will be considered the sustainability of the new materials and the financial costs of waste management. Usually, these aspects aren’t considered on energy efficiency studies and will be taken in consideration at this work. The case study will allow a more objective approach of the problem.
