Abstract(s)
financeiras e stress financeiro.
Financial literacy can be defined as the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively, ensuring long-term financial well-being. Possessing this knowledge is fundamental to making informed financial decisions and is crucial for maintaining one's well-being. Therefore, the primary aim of this study is to explore the factors influencing financial literacy and to examine its impact on financial well-being, through financial attitudes and financial stress among Portuguese and Brazilian individuals. From a sample of 158 participants from Portugal and Brazil, we found that education level and income positively influence financial literacy, while the frequency of saving money negatively affects it. Furthermore, financial literacy is positively related to financial well-being, through financial attitudes and stress.
