Abstract(s)
Partindo de um estudo e enquadramento teórico detalhado, este projeto pretende
compreender como tem sobrevivido e evoluído um dos géneros mais controversos do
cinema, o filme biográfico ou biopic. A forma de estudar, analisar e fazer cinema tem
mudado nas últimas décadas e o género biopic tem acompanhado o ritmo através de
mutações e metamorfoses em conteúdo, forma e comunicação, dando origem a
subgéneros contemporâneos. As modificações de género por vezes transpõem as
fronteiras entre realidade, ficção e factos históricos. O estudo de como convergem a
realidade e a ficção na escrita do filme biográfico funciona como epígrafe para a escrita
de um argumento, uma longa-metragem, onde se pretende desafiar as convenções
predefinidas sobre escrita de vida e ver respondida a pergunta sobre como convergem as
fronteiras de um género clássico que se modernizou nas últimas décadas.
ABSTRACT: Based on a detailed study and theoretical framework, this project aims to understand how one of the most controversial genres in cinema has survived and evolved, the biographical film or biopic. The way of studying, analyzing, and making cinema has changed in recent decades and the biographical genre has kept pace through mutations and metamorphoses in content, form and communication, giving rise to contemporary subgenres. Genre changes sometimes cross borders between reality, fiction and historical facts. The study of how reality and fiction converge in the writing of the biographical film works as an epigraph for the writing of an argument, a feature film, where the intention is to challenge predefined conventions about the boundaries of a writing genre and answer the question about the borders of a classic genre that has been modernized in recent decades.
