Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT - This report is based on a curricular internship in veterinary pathology, carried out at the DNAtech veterinary clinical analysis laboratory, in Lisbon, carried out within the scope of the master’s degree in Clinical-Laboratory Technologies of the Lisbon Superior School of Health Technology. The completion of this internship allowed me to consolidate and apply the knowledge acquired in the theoretical component of the master's degree, making it possible to experience the daily routine of a veterinary clinical analysis laboratory. During the internship, I had the opportunity to contact and perform different techniques in the areas of Pathological Anatomy, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Hematology. In addition, the internship allowed for good communication and integration in the laboratory team, as well as knowing how to deal with the day-to-day activities of a veterinary clinical analysis laboratory. This report also includes the realization of a project, which allowed the implementation of new equipment in the laboratory, describing the entire process necessary for its validation.
