A presente redação surge no âmbito do projeto Contido, uma criação coreográfica desenvolvida para o Programa Coreógrafos Emergentes da Companhia de Dança de Almada. Este projeto propôs-me refletir sobre a forma como as delimitações assumidas —
tanto no corpo como no processo — podem constituir um motor de descoberta e transformação artística. O ponto de partida foi a vontade de compreender como a restrição pode gerar
movimento, relação e sentido, em vez de asfixiar a criação. Assim, o meu interesse centra-se na experiência de existência das intérpretes, na forma como as restrições direcionam a sua expressividade e como a curiosidade, tanto minha como delas, se torna elemento
essencial para a construção de uma presença viva e consciente em cena.
Esta redação organiza-se em cinco capítulos principais: Enquadramento Geral – apresento o contexto do projeto, o seu enquadramento institucional e profissional, bem
como aspetos do meu percurso que justificam as motivações e objetivos desta criação; O Processo de Criação de Contido – exploro o desenvolvimento da obra, os métodos utilizados e as dinâmicas de trabalho que deram origem aos materiais coreográficos; A
Análise Coreográfica de Contido – examino a estrutura final e as decisões dramatúrgicas que orientaram a composição; Outros Elementos do Espetáculo – descrevo a integração da
música, figurinos e iluminação, analisando a sua relação com o movimento e o conceito da obra; Conclusão – apresento observações, aprendizagens e questionamentos que emergiram ao longo da criação, apontando possíveis desdobramentos para a minha prática artística.
Como reflexão inicial, destaco que este processo evidenciou a curiosidade como condição essencial para o trabalho interpretativo e a limitação como espaço fértil de criação, confirmando que a restrição pode ser, paradoxalmente, um caminho para a liberdade
artística.
Abstract - This report is part of the project “Contido”, a choreographic creation developed for the Emerging Choreographers Program of the Companhia de Dança de Almada. This project invited me to reflect on how consciously assumed limitations — both in the body and in the creative process — can become a driving force for artistic discovery and transformation. The starting point was the desire to understand how restriction can generate movement, connection, and meaning, rather than suffocating creation. My focus lies on the performers’ experience of existence — on how constraints shape their expressiveness and how curiosity, both mine and theirs, becomes an essential element in building a vivid and conscious presence on stage. This report is organized into five main chapters: General Framework – presents the context of the project, its institutional and professional setting, as well as aspects of my artistic background that justify the motivations and objectives of this creation; The Creative Process of Contido – explores the development of the work, the methods used, and the working dynamics that generated the choreographic material; The Choreographic Analysis of Contido – examines the final structure and the dramaturgical decisions that guided the composition; Other Scenic Elements – describes the integration of music, costumes, and lighting, analyzing their relationship with movement and the overall concept of the work; Conclusion – presents the reflections, learnings, and questions that emerged throughout the creation, pointing towards possible developments in my artistic practice. As an initial reflection, this process revealed curiosity as an essential condition for interpretative work, and limitation as a fertile space for creation — confirming that restriction can, paradoxically, be a path toward artistic freedom.
