| dc.description.abstract | In several workplaces, air-conditioning systems are crucial to maintaining a comfortable indoor environment. These devices are often contaminated with microorganisms, which they discharge indoors contributing for the fungal dissemination. The dust obtained from the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) filters have been used as another passive sampling approach for assessing the bioburden (comprising fungi and bacteria). Settled dust is one of several environmental sampling methods used during bioburden evaluations and is considered as a reservoir for surface or air contamination. Is one of the most common indoor sample collected in many exposure assessment studies. | pt_PT |
