É pretendido avaliar o impacto, e principalmente as consequências, que os movimentos modernistas provocaram no panorama artístico no século XX. Esta análise parte de questões suscitadas por Platão, em República, no modo de entender o mundo e o humano, e projeta-se na mudança verificada no pensamento sobre a perceção e receção de Arte. Para isso, verificam-se aproximações várias entre a Arte e a Filosofia, influenciando-se mutuamente.
ABSTRACT - It is intended to evaluate the impact, and especially the consequences, that the modernist movements provoked in the artistic panorama in the 20th century. This analysis starts from questions raised by Plato in the Republic, in the way of understanding the world and the human, and is projected in the change verified in the thought about the perception and reception of Art. For this, there are various interlacements between Art and Philosophy, influencing each other.
