Abstract(s)
televisão Once Upon a Time (2011 - ).
ABSTRACT: Technological and social changes, such as the development of participatory and remix cultures, made possible structural changes in online communities, particularly in the fandom, helping to enhance not only the characteristics of the latter but also our understanding of them. This thesis main theme is the relationship between the remix culture and the practice of vidding in the retelling of television content. For better understanding of this topic we selected as our empirical object the fan videos of a specific femslash community, Swan Queen Nation (Swen), associated with the television series Once Upon a Time (2011 -). Through this research it was possible to assess the general and narratives features from fan videos produced in Swen community, highlight the importance of content produced in fandom communities and assess how these are a reflection of individual and collective interpretations of the different elements of the communities to which they are associated, and is therefore critical to continue to rebuild and expand the fan culture. Starting from the literature review, the various elements that make up the fan culture, which features the fan videos and identification of attributes that make up a community, then it proceeded to a methodological triangulation with a qualitative analysis of several vidding of subgenres of Swen community as well as a qualitative and quantitative analysis of a survey collected from vidders who also belong to this specific community.
