dc.description.abstractO presente relatório de estágio está inserido no âmbito do Mestrado em Jornalismo na Escola Superior de Comunicação Social em Lisboa (ESCS). Este trabalho tem a finalidade de relatar a experiência adquirida no estágio curricular realizado na Sociedade Independente de Comunicação (SIC) durante 6 meses e de debater o fenómeno de as novas tecnologias desempenharem um papel cada vez mais activo nos noticiários que figuram nas nossas televisões. O termo “novas tecnologias” refere-se neste caso a constituintes que fazem parte do ciberespaço como o Youtube, redes sociais, Google e aplicações, vídeos amadores, Skype, imagens e sites da internet. Durante dois meses o estudo de caso visou observar quantas vezes é que os elementos tecnológicos em questão apareceram nos noticiários do Primeiro Jornal e Jornal da Noite, do canal de televisão SIC, para assim criar uma base de dados e partir para a análise e problematização dos mesmos. Os dados serviram assim para criar variáveis e fazer comparação entre dias, temas e que tipo de agentes virtuais são utilizados nas notícias e em que contexto. A observação participante e não participante foram pilares na realização desta investigação neste trabalho de natureza qualitativa e quantitativa. Não houve entrevistas mas foram colocadas questões e procuradas respostas sem ser de forma formal e inquiridora. Os noticiários foram analisados de dia 5 de Janeiro até 5 de Março e foi feito um levantamento de trabalhos e estudos com temáticas e informação semelhantes e pertinentes para o meu estudo. Este relatório de estágio não oferece respostas sobre se o uso de imagens amadoras, de Youtube ou outros que figuram no ciberespaço, é em toda e qualquer situação negativa ou positiva de forma a enriquecer o envio da mensagem jornalística ao telespetador. Este trabalho também não vai tomar uma posição contra ou a favor do uso destes elementos. O que este estudo se propõe a fazer é observar e indicar alguns dos problemas e vantagens que este método de fazer televisão, cada vez mais interligado à virtualidade, pode trazer na percepção dos acontecimentos por parte de quem está a ver a televisão e por parte do jornalista que constrói a peça. Aliado à análise e teoria está também a parte humana, as vivências na redação, as saídas em reportagem e episódios que ajudaram a contextualizar e perceber o modus operandi da Sociedade Independente de Comunicação.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: This internship report is integrated in the master´s course of journalism in the Higher School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS) in Lisbon. The objective of this paper is to report the experience and knowledge gathered during the six months of internship in the Independent Society of Communication (SIC). This paper also aims to underline and discuss the increasing presence of new technology in the news of our television. The expression “new technologies” is, in this case, related to the elements that are part of the cyberspace such as the Youtube, Social Networks, Google and applications, Skype, amateur footages, sites and images from the Internet. The essence of the case study was to analyze and observe for two months how many times the technological elements mentioned above appeared on the TV newscast of SIC (“Primeiro Jornal” and “Jornal da Noite”). With this process it was possible to create a data base and to problematize the results. The data was used to create variables and to make comparisons between days, themes and what kind of virtual features are used in the news and in which context. Participant and non participant observation were vital for this investigation of quantitative and qualitative nature. There were no interviews but questions were asked informally to coworkers. News were analyzed from 5th of January to 5th of March and other works and studies with useful information for this paper were gathered. This internship report does not offer answers about the impact of the use of new technology elements on the news and how the viewer benefits, or not, when receiving a journalistic message with this features. This paper will not be in favor or against the use of these elements. The main goal of this work is to observe and discuss some of the advantages and disadvantages of this way of doing television news. A way that is getting more intertwined with the virtual world and shapes how journalists work and the viewer perceives the message. Besides the theory there will also be the personal experience in the newsroom, the reportage and all the episodes that helped to contextualize and understand the modus operandi of the Independent Society of Communication.eng
