Abstract(s)
Atualmente procura-se construir e reabilitar recorrendo a materiais com qualidade e durabilidade, nomeadamente nos revestimentos de piso, uma vez que são usados de modo permanente e estão sujeitos a elevadas ações mecânicas. A preocupação ambiental também está presente, havendo o cuidado de utilizar materiais sustentáveis que não prejudiquem o ambiente, tanto no fabrico como na fase de serviço ou no fim da vida útil.
Para os revestimentos de piso, as soluções disponíveis no mercado são várias e podecausar dificuldade na escolha adequada para cada local. A presente dissertação surge de modo a apresentar o linóleo como opção e auxiliar os profissionais na escolha de um revestimento de piso. O linóleo é um material resistente, durável, constituído por matérias-primas sustentáveis, adequado para uma multiplicidade de locais, podendo ser instalado como revestimento de piso, mobiliário ou ainda painéis.
Neste trabalho pretende-se apresentar o linóleo, nomeadamente as suas propriedades e características, o seu método de execução, as anomalias mais comuns e os seus métodos de reparação. Deste modo pretende-se sistematizar a informação relevante sobre o linóleo e mostrá-lo como opção para revestimento de piso.
Abstract: Nowadays there is an attention in building or rehabilitating using quality and durable materials, namely in floor coverings, since they are used constantly and are subjected to great mechanical actions. The environmental concern is also present in the choice of sustainable materials, which does not harm the environment, in their manufacturing process and in their posterior degradation. In floor coverings, there are many available choices in the market and they can cause difficulty in choosing the adequate one for every location. The present thesis arises to show linoleum as an option and to help professionals in the choice of a floor covering. Linoleum, being a resistant and durable material, composed by sustainable raw materials, is adequate for a multiplicity of locations, and can be installed as floor covering, in furniture or as a bulletin board. In this paper seeks to present linoleum, namely its properties and characteristics, execution method, common anomalies and ways to repair them. Therefore it seeks to systematize relevant information regarding linoleum and to show it as an option forfloor covering.
