Abstract(s)
Assim: (i) a remuneração
The present study aims to examine the effect of economic crisis on workers motivation by analyzing the relevance of remuneration, tasks, interpersonal relationship, leadership and conditions of work, having identified a set of hypotheses later tested. A survey was made to (i) collect the demographic data of the respondents, (ii) to perceive, in general terms, which are the motivation key-factors and (iii) to perceive which are the factors that are more and lesser valued in a crisis context. According with the 204 answers it was possible to assess that the economic crisis has a major influence in the motivation key-factors. Given so: (i) the salary is the most important factor for both genders; (ii) although, as it happens with the tasks, the wages are also pointed as one of the less important factors; (iii) the organizational behavior is less valued by the female than the male gender and, this one gives more importance to the tasks than the female gender; (iv) the respondents up to the age of 40 years old consider more important the wages and ethics than the respondents over 40 years old, in fact these ones show themselves indifferent to the economic crisis scenario; (v) the respondents with the education level up the 12th year give more relevance to the tasks than the respondents with higher educational level. In a scenario of economic crisis it is suggested to endure transparent human resources practices that will be able to maximize the organizational commitment of employees.
