Physiotherapists’ perceived knowledge on technologies for electronic health records for physiotherapy

Abstract(s)

Background - In the last decade, the amount of evidence has increased indicating that stakeholders’ training and education are key to the successful adoption of electronic health records (EHRs). Also, it has been shown that the availability of technical and training support during the initial implementation is essential. Objective: We investigate the perceived knowledge of EHRs and the motivation for adoption of EHRs in physiotherapy practice. Methods - A cross-sectional study was conducted using a questionnaire developed with 27 questions. Among studied variables were: perceived knowledge of technologies for electronic health records, number of training sessions for the adoption of EHRs, motivation related to the adoption of EHRs.
