Abstract(s)
O objetivo do presente trabalho foi compreender o contributo das Artes Plásticas para o desenvolvimento da Inteligência Emocional em adolescentes. Foram utilizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas junto de uma amostra intencional composta por profissionais das áreas da Psicologia/ Educação Emocional e das Artes Plásticas/ Educação Artística. Os dados obtidos através das entrevistas foram submetidos a um processo de Análise de Conteúdo. Numa convergente perspetiva multidisciplinar, os resultados do estudo explicam a importância da Inteligência Emocional na adolescência e o modo como as competências emocionais podem ser desenvolvidas através de um conjunto de exercícios específicos de observação/ apreciação de arte e de produção/ expressão plástica. Outros aspetos relacionados com a Educação Emocional serão discutidos, nomeadamente acerca da sua integração em contextos educativos. Com base nos resultados da investigação, procedemos ainda à planificação de um programa de Educação Emocional para adolescentes através das Artes Plásticas.

Semi-structured interviews were applied to an intentional sample composed by professionals in the fields of Psychology/ Emotional Education and Visual Arts/ Art Education. Data obtained from interviews were submitted to a Content Analysis. Taking into consideration a convergent multidisciplinary perspective, the results of this study explain the importance of Emotional Intelligence in adolescence and the way in which emotional competences can be developed through a set of specific exercises of observation/ appreciation of art and plastic expression. Other aspects related to Emotional Education will be discussed, in particular, their integration into educational contexts. Based on research results, we also planned an Emotional Education program for adolescents through Visual Arts.
