Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT - Around us, the world creates mechanisms for refusing certain bodies. As if we couldn't exist together and the body could only live in this form of utopian delusion that the world inflicts on it. Thus, we live in a process of silent extermination in which we are constantly marginalized for not meeting a norm, which is truly sick. It is on our identity that this extermination acts, reducing us to a state of insignificance, pushing us to the margins where toxicity leaves us on a battlefield, which forces us to choose between vanishing for submission or existing in revolution. A piece in which the exposition of the non-normative body as a parallel to the many prejudices that are within each one of us, creates a raw and beautiful language at the same time. The strangeness of the fragility and strength of bodies. We, others, norm and society. How to perpetuate change in ourselves and others. Process of building the body itself. A manifesto that rejects the hierarchy of disability and the neo-liberal vision of the dancing body. I believe in the body as a political subject, and I wanted to find a place for experimentation that would reformulate the system itself as an agent of provocation. Through an authorial dramaturgy, we intend to explore universal and contemporary themes that promote reflection on issues inherent to our existence, praising what unites us and praising the difference. In movement work, the focus is on the translation and potentiality of bodies and emotions.
