Abstract(s)
as duas obras cinematográficas (Disney e Ghibli).
Estaremos aptos a
ABSTRACT: The present research aims to reflect throughout the concept of nostalgia as it is represented in two animation films: ‘The Jungle Book’ (1967) and ‘Spirited Away’ (2001), both inserted in different cultural contexts. For such, the work will be developed into three paths: the first will focus on animation cinema, emphasizing the cultural identity in cinema; the second will address the concept of nostalgia and its changes, either in animation films representation, either in its perception as a feeling; the work will also question on the social and cultural context of animation studios that distributed the two cinematographic works (Disney and Ghibli). Having accomplished that, an analysis grid will be conceived to access to a symbolic analysis in the context of comparative studies, allowing to highlight that the representation of nostalgia in filmic texts from different cultural contexts is done in a different way, thanks to the background of each culture.
