O presente Trabalho de Projeto, intitulado "Posição Irregular: Construção de um Argumento Cinematográfico", articula reflexão teórica e prática criativa, tendo como foco a elaboração de um guião que pretende subverter as convenções narrativas do cinema desportivo. A metodologia centrou-se numa investigação do universo do futebol das divisões inferiores portuguesas, utilizando a pesquisa como base fundamental para dotar a narrativa de rigor e credibilidade. A revisão da literatura abordou o papel da pesquisa na construção narrativa, as estruturas comuns em filmes sobre desporto, e incluiu uma análise documental de obras sobre o tema.
Desenvolveu-se, portanto, um guião que se distancia da glória, comummente retratada neste tipo de obras, optando-se, então, por dramatizar a realidade do não-alcance, explorando as consequências da obstinação ilusória e da falibilidade do protagonista. A obra final é um guião que procura a catarse através do reconhecimento da verdade, e não do triunfo.
This project, entitled "Irregular Position: Construction of a Cinematic Screenplay" ("Posição Irregular: Construção de um Argumento Cinematográfico"), articulates theoretical reflection and creative practice, focusing on the elaboration of a screenplay intended to subvert the established narrative conventions of sports cinema. The methodology centered on an in-depth investigation into the world of portuguese lower division football, utilizing research as the fundamental basis for imbuing the narrative with rigor and credibility. The literature review addressed the role of research in narrative construction, the common structures in films about sports, and included a documentary analysis of relevant works on the subject. A screenplay was, thus, developed that distances itself from the glory commonly portrayed in such works, opting instead to dramatize the reality of non-achievement, exploring the consequences of illusory stubbornness and the protagonist's fallibility. The final product is a screenplay that seeks catharsis through the recognition of truth, rather than through the celebration of triumph.
