Abstract(s)
As interrogações desta dissertação recaem sobre o processo que se verifica na
transformação de um objeto, e, principalmente, de uma pessoa em obra de arte – o que
acontece e que implicações epistemológicas, práticas, éticas e lógicas daí decorrem? Esta
dissertação nasce da insatisfação perante a ideia comum de que a arte, por ser excêntrica,
é especial, e, por isso, diferente dos acontecimentos da vida quotidiana, bem como da
ideia de que a arte pode resgatar uma espécie de verdade autêntica vulgarmente associada
a esses acontecimentos. Partindo de duas teses principais - a arte é a duplicação da vida
(afastada da realidade) e a arte é a própria vida (a realidade) – pretende-se entender e
testar a identidade do corpo vivo que se insere no contexto artístico.
ABSTRACT - In this thesis I question the process of transformation of an object, and, mainly, of a person into a work of art - what happens and what are the epistemological, practical, ethical and logical implications of that process? This thesis is also a consequence of my dissatisfaction with the common idea that art, because it is eccentric, is special, and therefore different from the events of daily life, as well as the idea that art can rescue a kind of authentic truth commonly associated to these events. Starting from two main theses - art is the duplication of life (an imitation of it) and art is life itself (reality) - I intend to understand and test the identity of the living body in the artistic context.
