dc.description.abstract	O presente relatório visa apresentar de forma reflexiva e fundamentada, a minha intervenção educativa numa sala de jardim de infância, no âmbito da Unidade Curricular denominada Prática Profissional Supervisionada II. Neste relatório é retratado o percurso enquanto educadora estagiária ao longo de quatro meses de intervenção pedagógica, incluindo o desenvolvimento de uma investigação relacionada com o (des)controlo dos esfíncteres no jardim de infância. Deste modo, procedi a um estudo de caso onde procurei compreender as implicações do uso de fralda nas dinâmicas de um grupo de jardim de infância. Os objetivos da investigação eram (i) identificar quais as implicações da presença de crianças que ainda não controlam os esfíncteres num grupo de jardim de infância, (ii) identificar de que forma é que o uso de fralda ou os descuidos influenciam as relações entre pares, (iii) identificar de que forma se deve proceder ao desfralde no jardim de infância e (iv) conhecer as experiências das famílias durante o processo de desfralde. O tema do desfralde pode não ser encarado como um tema central em educação de infância. Contudo, o tempo e a forma (ou seja, a prática do/a educador/a) do desfralde afeta a autonomia, autoestima, socialização e bem-estar da criança. A recolha e análise dos dados foi realizada recorrendo a diferentes instrumentos e técnicas, nomeadamente a realização de entrevistas, a observação direta das interações das crianças e posterior categorização, a execução de questionários às famílias e a análise de conteúdo da informação recolhida. Os resultados indicam que o uso de fralda traz implicações principalmente ao nível da gestão de recursos humanos e materiais, afetando a dinâmica do grupo, que o uso de fralda aparenta não influenciar as interações com as crianças e que as famílias vivenciaram este processo com alguma tranquilidade. dc.description.abstract	ABSTRACT This report aims to present, in a reflective and substantiated way, my educational intervention in a kindergarten classroom, in the framework of the Curricular Unit called Supervised Professional Practice II. This report describes my journey as a trainee teacher during four months of pedagogical intervention, as well as the development of an investigation related to the (un)control of sphincters in kindergarten. Thus, I carried out a case study in which I tried to understand the implications of diaper use in the dynamics of a kindergarten group. To this end, I designed a research plan with the objectives of (i) identifying the implications of the presence of children who still have no sphincter control in a kindergarten group, (ii) identifying how the use of diapers or accidents influence peer relationships, (iii) identifying how to perform the process of diapers separation in kindergarten and (iv) getting to know the families' experiences during the process of toilet training. The toilet training theme may not be seen as a central theme in early childhood education. However, the time and form (that is, kindergarten teacher’s practice) of the training affect the autonomy, self-esteem, socialization and well-being of the child. Data collection and analysis was carried out using different instruments and techniques, namely interviews, direct observation of the children's interactions and subsequent categorization, questionnaires to the families and content analysis of the information collected. The results showed that the use of diapers has implications mainly at the level of human and material resources management, affecting the group dynamics, that the use of diapers does not seem to influence the interactions among children and that the families experienced toilet training with some tranquility.
