Abstract(s)
This frontline presents a simple apparatus to measure time intervals in an educational context, composed by an Arduino board, a magnet and a Hall effect sensor. To demonstrate the concept, we use the apparatus in traditional experiments done in the physics classroom. We show that precise measurements can be obtained, making this apparatus a low-cost alternative to traditional photogate timers.
