Abstract(s)
material/ imaterial.
Consciousness and enthusiasm for the current processes of perception, dematerialization and immersion, consecrated to the territory of Sculpture, support one of the lines of work, in practice research, proposed to students of the BA in Visual Arts and Technologies (AVT) of Lisbon Polytechnic Institute. We consider it essential to recognize the relevance of multimedia languages; To direct students to the observation and analysis of possible complicity between artistic and multimedia territories - to investigate emerging artists; Developing multilingual projects; To explore, simultaneously, plastic and audiovisual languages in the problematization of proposed concepts and themes. This article describes, in a very brief way, a work proposal that resulted from the interdisciplinary articulation of the modules of Sculpture II and Multimedia Art, which are part of the Curricular Unit (UC) of the Arts and Technology Workshop II, 2015/16. From the theme "Oxymoron", students from the three classes, of 2nd year, developed video-sculpture projects, jointly oriented by the professors of the two modules, articulating methodologies and work processes — material / immaterial.
