A visão de homem, mundo e conhecimento constituída ao longo do desenvolvimento
da humanidade, marcaram a concepção de escola, ensino, aprendizagem e, sobretudo,
de avaliação. Este trabalho se propôs analisar a mediação do professor no processo de
ensino e aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita. Utilizamos a observação, o questionário
e a análise documental como instrumentos para refletir sobre o papel da avaliação no
processo de ensino e de aprendizagem. Observamos que a avaliação adotada impõe
regras que definem e estabelecem certo padrão de conduta inserido num modelo prédeterminado,
além de excluir do grupo aqueles que aos seus critérios não conseguem
atender, desempenhando um papel importante na produção do fracasso escolar. É
necessário que a escola perceba-se como instrumento desse sistema e abra espaço na
conquista de sua autonomia para servir ao ensino e aprendizagem.
Abstract: The vision of man, world and knowledge formed along the development of humanity, marked the conception of school, teaching, learning, and above all, for evaluation. This Study proposes to analyze the mediation by the teacher in teaching and learning process of reading and writing. We used the observation, the questionnaire and the documentary analysis to reflect on the role of assessment in the teaching and learning process. We observed that the evaluation adopted imposes rules that define and establish a certain standard of conduct inserted in a pre-determined model, also excludes the group those that cannot meet in his judgment, playing an important role in the production of school failure. It is necessary that the school understands itself as an instrument of this system and open space in the conquest of their autonomy to serve the teaching and learning.
