Abstract(s)
É prática comum do mercado nacional estas duas instalações serem concebidas, projetadas e
Service buildings, namely commercial spaces like supermarkets or hypermarkets, are associated with two major types of facilities: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning The first is responsible for ensuring the conservation conditions of products that are storaged or on display for sales, while the second is responsible for ensuring the necessary indoor air quality for comfort and well-being for those that occupy the facility. It’s common practice in Portuguese national market that these two installations are thought, designed and installed in complete independence from one another, although both are fundamentally based in the same thermodynamic principles. The following document has the goal of conceiving a system for refrigeration and air conditioning that function in an integrated manner, searching for common point between these systems that are liable to interconnection, either by thermal recovery processes or by system association. This principle was applied in the conception of a case study, this being a supermarket located in Rio Maior, over which was made a thermal load analysis both for the refrigeration system as for the air conditioning system. After the thermal load study, the type of installation to develop is idealized, following that all the materials and equipment selection as well as the definition of the command and control philosophy for the system. As a final product of this case study, we have a theoretically functional project of possible execution and implementation.
