Abstract(s)
Abstract: The purpose of this dissertation was to develop models of FACTS (SVC, Fixed Shunt, switched Shunt, STATCOM, etc) for steady-ready analysis in order to able to evaluete their contribution to the control voltage power systems. For this purpose a simulation platform was developed wich allows the calculation of the power flow based on the Newton-Raphson method, with and without the presence of FACTS devices. The model was validated with a test network by comparing the results obtained using other software platform. Finally, the technical conditions for the establishment of EHV lines in accordance with IEC 60038 international standard. With the help of the simulation platform were presented and studies the following parameters were identified as the ones that may influence the value of the voltage at the end of na EHV line and studied the contribution of FACTS to control it: 1) line configuration; 2) voltage level; 3) line length; 4) load diagram.
