    A problemática das crianças / adolescentes com Diabetes Mellitus surge devido à importância do apoio por uma equipa multidisciplinar especialista em Diabetes, cujas relações adquirem neste contexto um papel fundamental. Este é um estudo qualitativo / quantitativo, com a utilização de um questionário para colheita dos dados. Utiliza a metodologia da Análise de Redes Sociais, com o objectivo da identificação das dinâmicas e relações intra-organizacionais que sustentam as redes estabelecidas nos cuidados às crianças/adolescentes com Diabetes tipo 1, no Hospital Dona Estefânia. Conclui-se neste estudo que o HDE apresenta uma rede de densidade elevada, com predominância de quatro actores na rede (Serviço de Internamento, Consulta Externa, Serviço de Dietética e Serviço de Psicologia). Contudo, a rede apresenta algumas lacunas e limitações no que concerne à articulação entre os actores, nomeadamente ao nível da formação profissional e tratamento e controlo da doença, com um elevado peso na informalidade dos contactos. - ABSTRACT - The issue of children and adolescents with diabetes mellitus arises due to the importance of support by a multidisciplinary team expert in diabetes, whose relations acquire a key role in this context. This is a qualitative / quantitative study, using a questionnaire to collect data. It uses the methodology of Analysis of Social Networks, with the aim of identifying the dynamics and intra-organizational relationships that support the established networks to provide care for children / adolescents with type 1 Diabetes, in Hospital Dona Estefânia. It is concluded that the HDE has a network with a high density, with a predominance of four actors on the network (Serviço de Internamento, Consulta Externa, Serviço de Dietética e Serviço de Psicologia), with the existence of two sub-groups in the network. It is also concluded the network has some gaps and limitations in regard to the relationship between the actors, especially in terms of professional training, treatment and disease control, with a high share of the informal contacts.
