Abstract(s)
Numa infraestrutura rodoviária, quando se verifica o aumento não expectável do tráfego
diminui o nível de serviço calculado inicialmente, manifestando-se tal facto num conjunto de
situações prejudiciais para a operação da infraestrutura e com consequências de caráter
técnico, social e económico. Torna-se, assim, crucial a implementação de medidas que
permitam o restabelecimento das condições de funcionamento adequadas às características
da infraestrutura e da sua envolvente global.
O alargamento de uma autoestrada concessionada constitui uma obrigação contratual perante
o Estado, cuja implementação resulta na ação construtiva de uma infraestrutura em operação,
pelo que deve obedecer a regras que minimizem os impactos das obras na circulação do
tráfego, garantindo as necessárias condições de segurança. Para isto, devem ser adotadas
as melhores práticas no planeamento, no projeto, e na gestão da circulação durante a fase de
alargamento.
No que se refere ao desenvolvimento deste tipo de projetos, verifica-se a existência de uma
lacuna nas Normas Técnicas, pelo que apenas mediante a consulta e análise de alguns
projetos de Alargamento e Beneficiação, nomeadamente ao nível da Geometria do Traçado,
se tornou possível a aplicação dos conceitos referidos num projeto concreto de alargamento,
no âmbito do estágio realizado.
O objetivo deste documento é apresentar as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo dos quatro
meses de estágio na empresa SENER-ENGIVIA e pretende expor os cuidados e
condicionantes a considerar na execução de um projeto rodoviário de alargamento e
beneficiação de uma autoestrada.
Durante o período de estágio foi possível implementar os procedimentos técnicos mais
adequados no desenvolvimento do Projeto do Alargamento e Beneficiação dos Sublanços
Ermesinde/Valongo/Campo, que integram a A4 – Autoestrada Porto/Amarante entre o km
11+500 e o km 19+850.
When occurs an unexpected increase of traffic in a road infrastructure, a consequent decrease in the initially calculated level of service is verified, which leads to a set of harmful situations to the regular performance of the infrastructure with technical, social and economic consequences. Therefore, it becomes crucial to implement solutions which allow to reinstate the required operation conditions to the infrastructure features and overall environment. Concession’s highway’s enlargement constitutes a contractual obligation to the State which engages in a constructive action of an operating infrastructure, meaning that rules shall be followed in order to minimize negative impacts of the construction in traffic, ensuring the necessary safety conditions. To accomplish that good practices shall be adopted regarding the planning, design and site management while executing the widening of the road. Regarding the development of such type of projects, it can be verified that there is an information gap in the Technical Norms, meaning that the application of the concepts usually referred in enlargement and improvements projects was possible in this internship, only through consultation and analysis of similar projects, especially regarding the subject of geometric design. The aim of this document is to present the developed tasks throughout the four months of internship in the organization SENER-ENGIVIA. Also, it intends to display the maintenance cares and reservations that shall be taken into account when executing an enlargement and improvement of a highway project. During the internship period, it was possible to implement the most adequate technical procedures to the development of the ‘Project Highway’s Enlargement and Improvements of the subsections Ermesinde/Valongo/Campo’, integrated in highway A4 – Highway Porto/Amarante, located from km 11+500 to km 19+850.
