Neste trabalho desenvolve-se a conceção e o dimensionamento de duas soluções técnicas para um
pequeno aproveitamento hidroeléctrico no Rio Cieneguilla e no Rio Matadero (região del Maule), no
Chile. Para o efeito foi desenvolvido um estudo hidrológico baseado nas séries hidrológicas de caudais
médios diários registados em estações hidrométricas no rio Longavi, com vista à determinação dos
caudais modulares, das curvas de duração do caudal médio diário e dos caudais máximos de cheia,
nase secções em estudo no Cieneguilla e Matadero, por forma a ser possível o dimensionamento das
estruturas e a estimativa do potencial hídrico do aproveitamento.
Desenvolveu-se a avaliação dos custos de construção, de operação e de manutenção de cada solução e
das respectivas receitas, obtidas a partir das previsões da energia média anual produzível em cada
solução.
Com base na previsão dos custos e dos benefícios associados a cada solução, foram avaliados os
indicadores económicos orientadores da escolha da solução economicamente mais viável (ou atrativa),
nomeadamente: a relação benefício/custo, o valor líquido actualizado, a taxa interna de rentabilidade e
o período de recuperação do Investimento.
On this thesis the conception and design development of two technical solutions for a small hydropower plant, located on the Cieneguilla and the Matadero rivers (Maule region) in Chile, is carried out. With this purpose the hydrological study was performed, based on the daily mean flow data, collected from stream-gauging stations located on the Longavi river, in order to obtain the modular flow, the daily mean flow duration curves and the maximum flow rates of the Cieneguilla and Matadero watersheds. All this data was needed in order to enable the design of the hydropower plant structures and the evaluation of the mean annual energy production. For each solution, the construction, operation, maintenance costs and revenues were estimated, through the evaluation of the mean annual energy production. Based on the costs and revenues obtained for each of the proposed hydropower plant solutions, the financial and economic indicators were calculated, namely, Benefit-Cost ratio, Net Present Value; Internal Rate of Return and Payback Period, which helped in the selection of the most viable solution.
