Abstract(s)
O presente relatório descreve a prática pedagógica ocorrida na Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II (PES II) com duas turmas do 6.º ano do 2.º Ciclo de Ensino Básico (CEB). O relatório inclui ainda o estudo que se previa desenvolver no contexto da PES II, com uma turma do 3.º ano do 1.º CEB.
A investigação que aqui se apresenta emergiu de uma fragilidade identificada no 2.º CEB relacionada com o volume de conhecimento lexical dos alunos. Em virtude da sua importância no desenvolvimento escolar, surgiu a necessidade de enriquecê-lo no 1.º CEB. O tema da investigação sintetiza-se da seguinte forma: O desenvolvimento do conhecimento lexical a partir da integração curricular com o Estudo do Meio.
O estudo desenvolvido é conduzido pela seguinte questão orientadora: De que forma a integração curricular do Português com o Estudo do Meio pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento do conhecimento lexical no 3.º ano de escolaridade? A partir da questão orientadora definida surgiram os seguintes objetivos: i) explorar as potenciali-dades da Literatura para a Infância para o enriquecimento do conhecimento lexical; ii) conceber uma intervenção didática promotora da integração curricular do Português com o Estudo do Meio como forma de potenciar o conhecimento lexical; iii) avaliar os efeitos da intervenção didática no desenvolvimento lexical dos alunos, designadamente no domínio de conceitos científicos. As atividades foram construídas com o foco no de-senvolvimento da competência lexical e incluem a leitura de uma obra literária e o de-senvolvimento de um projeto relacionado com o Universo por ser um conteúdo da área disciplinar do Estudo do Meio que permite a integração curricular.
Um estudo desta natureza implicaria metodologicamente a implementação de uma metodologia com características similares à investigação-ação com técnicas de recolha e tratamento de dados de natureza qualitativa e quantitativa em que se apoiaria na observação direta e indireta.
Abstract This report describes the pedagogical practice that took place during Supervised Teaching Practice II (PES II) with two classes of year 6, 2nd Primary Education Cycle (PEC); therefore, includes also the study that was planned to develop in PES II context with a class of year 3 of PEC. The research resulted from an identified fragility at the 2nd PEC, related with the students’ lexical knowledge. Due to its importance for the school development, arose the need to enrich it in 1st PEC. The research object is summarized as follows: The lexical knowledge development based on the curricular integration in the Environment Study Class. This study was conducted by the following guiding question: How can contribute the curricular integration of Portuguese Language in the Environment Study Class to the lexical knowledge development at the year 3 of schooling? Objectives emerged from the defined guiding question as follows: i) Explore childhood literature potentialities to the enrichment of lexical knowledge; ii) Create a didactic intervention that promotes the cur-ricular integration of Portuguese Language in the Environment Study Class as a way to enhance lexical knowledge; iii) Evaluate didactic intervention effects over students’ lexi-cal development, particularly in the field of scientific concepts. Activities were built with focus on the of lexical competence development. They consist in a literary work reading and a project development related to the Universe, as it is an Environment Study Class curricular programmatic content, which allows curricular integration. A study of this nature would methodologically imply a methodology implementa-tion with similar characteristics to research-action, using collection and processing tech-niques to obtain qualitative and quantitative data, which would be based on direct and indirect observation.
