In forensic stylistics, text analysts try to characterise the choices made in particular texts as unequivocally as possible, focusing upon idiosyncrasies. The safest method seems to be to combine statistical analyses (text stylometry) with the kind of stylistic research (graphic, syntactical, lexical and textual) usually used in text analysis.
