Ao longo deste relatório irei relevar a metodologia adotada num grupo de cinco mulheres com idades entre os 70 e os 91 anos, que nunca fizeram teatro e que apresentaram um espetáculo após seis meses de ensaios. O interesse de trabalhar com a comunidade sénior surgiu de vários fatores: em primeiro lugar tenho uma forte ligação e relação com as minhas avós, em segundo porque sempre gostei de conhecer as histórias antigas, compreender como se vivia há uns anos atrás, quais os medos, quais as proibições, etc. Por último, mas talvez a razão mais importante, por saber que a população idosa está a aumentar cada vez mais, devido à diminuição da taxa de natalidade associado ao aumento da esperança média de vida, no entanto, está cada vez mais sozinha, cada vez mais abandonada e esquecida. O projeto partiu inicialmente da recolha de histórias de vida daquelas mulheres como material dramatúrgico para o processo artístico, memórias que todas juntas, misturadas ou inventadas culminaram num espetáculo, demonstrando que o teatro contribui para o desenvolvimento e bem-estar das pessoas em qualquer idade. O projeto resultou na apresentação do espetáculo “Hoje as Estrelas Somos Nós” nos dias 15, 16 e 17 de março de 2024 no Teatro Passagem de Nível com casa esgotada em todos os dias. Um espetáculo realizado pela comunidade e para a comunidade, refletindo sobre as memórias e o passado em paralelo com o presente e o futuro. Este trabalho inseriu-se no âmbito do Mestrado em Teatro da Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, com especialização em Teatro e Comunidade.ABSTRACT - With this report, I would like to point out the advantages, both aesthetic and community-based, of working with older age groups using theatrical techniques. Throughout this report I will highlight the methodology adopted in a group of five women aged between 70 and 91 years, who have never done theatre and who presented a show after just six months of rehearsals. The interest in working with the senior community came from several factors: firstly, I have a strong connection and relationship with my grandmothers, secondly because I have always liked to hear old stories, to understand how people lived in the past, what the fears they had, what prohibitions were in place, etc. Last but perhaps the most important reason, knowing that the elderly population is increasing, due to the decline in the birth rate and associated with the life expectancy expansion, however, it is more and more alone, abandoned and mostly forgotten. The project initially started from a collection of life stories from those women used as dramaturgical material for the artistic process, memories that all together, mixed or invented, culminated in a show demonstrating that theatre contributes to the development and well-being of people at any age. The project resulted in the presentation of the show "Today the stars are us" on March 15, 16 and 17, 2024 at “Teatro Passagem de Nível” with a sold-out show in every day. A show performed by the community for the community, reflecting on memories and the past in parallel with the present and the future.
